How it works
Start online. Compete in Pune.
Each school can enter up to 2 junior teams. Round 1 is submission only. We review the online entries and select 5 teams for the offline hackathon.
Phase 1 Online
Submit your entry online
Code your pattern in VizzTurtle as a team of 2–3. Submit your project link and pattern image with one entry form; an explanation video is optional. Each school can enter up to 2 teams in the Junior track.
Phase 2 Offline hackathon · Pune
5 teams compete. 3 teams win.
The 5 shortlisted junior teams compete at the offline hackathon in Pune and explain their work to the judges. The top 3 teams win prizes. The remaining 2 teams receive participation certificates.

Which schools
Only students from schools located in Pune, Maharashtra, or from any school partnered with the Vizuara AI program.
Team size
Take part in a team of 2 to 3 students — 2 is the minimum, 3 the maximum. One form per team.
Entries per school
Each school can submit up to 2 entries in the Junior category. Each entry is one team of 2–3 students from Classes 5–8.
Last date
The online round closes on 10 October 2026. Send in your entry before then.

Junior track questions
Who can join?
Students of Classes 5–8 — but only from schools located in Pune, Maharashtra, or from a school partnered with the Vizuara AI program.
Can I take part on my own?
No — this one is for teams. Get together with 1 or 2 friends so your team has 2 to 3 students, and send in one entry for the whole team.
Do I need to be a coding expert?
No! VizzTurtle (opens in new tab) is beginner-friendly — you learn as you create.
How many teams qualify, and what do they receive?
5 junior teams are selected from the online round for the offline hackathon in Pune. The top 3 teams win prizes and awards, and are featured on this website. The other 2 teams receive participation certificates. Winners are selected for the Junior category as a whole.
